Mr. Syed Bunyad Hasan (Late)-Founder,

(September 25th 1958 to February 28th 2023)

Syed Hasan Bunyad started his carrier as a Quantity Surveyor in M/S. Gammon Pakistan Limited at Repair Shops Complex of Pakistan Steel Mill in May 1979. He worked for 4 years and gained good working experience.
He decided to introduce and practiced Quantity Surveying as an independent firm named "Q.S. Consultants" in 1983. After an uphill struggle, He earned a solid reputation in Quantity Surveying and Construction Cost Management.
In 1997 he went to Canada to explore the Quantity surveyor's at international level. He spent more than 4 years in Canada and done Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology (Canada) in 2001 & take membership of OACETT, OIQS, CSC (Canada).
To promote the Q.S. Profession in the Pakistan Construction Industry, he took the initiative and gathered some Professionals on a platform and start an Association which is registered with the Government of Pakistan, named “Pakistan Association of Quantity Surveyors" (PAQS) in 2010. He has a founder president of the association.
To promote and provide basic education & training of Q.S. Profession to the younger generation, he started the "Institute of Quantity Surveyor Pakistan" (IQS), in 2010.
He joined the AACE International in March 2010 and passed the examination in March 2011 for Certified Cost Consultant (CCC) and have been maintaining his license as a Certified Cost Professional (CCP).
In 2012, He expanded his business, by forming an employee-owned company named Bunyad & Associates (Pvt.) Ltd., which is now Bunyad Consultant (Pvt.) Ltd.
With the help of few Industrial Colleagues, He re-activated the Chapter "AACE Pakistan Section" in 2019, to promote Quantity Surveying/Cost Engineering. He served as many positions to this chapter, and a Past President of AACE Pakistan Section (2021-2022).
He had delivered many lectures in Colleges and Universities to develop “Awareness of Quantity Surveying / Cost Engineering” and also attended national and international seminars. His Interviews was published in many newspapers on the subject of "Quantity Surveying".
He served the construction industry for more than 40 Years.
